If you are not sure whether your English is getting better, ask yourself three questions:
Can I define what I learnt today?
People should be able to remember exactly what they study in each class. If the answer is “We talked about many things but I can’t remember even one new word” something is not running well.
Do I know my teacher’s plan?
Students need to know where they are headed. If there are no objectives there’s no way to measure improvement. Good teachers always have a plan. Excellent teachers share it with students.
Do I enjoy class?
Everyone likes to learn so if you’re having fun you’re most probably improving. If you are bored, you are certainly not.
